Winter Mid-October to February
Cool days and green forest
Days are pleasant and the forest is green after the rains. Mornings are cold and often misty, especially in December and January. Birdlife is at its richest, and it is the most comfortable season for families.
- Comfortable days for long drives
- Rich birdlife and misty meadows
- Carry warm layers for open-jeep mornings

Summer March to June
The best chance to see a tiger
As the forest dries out and water sources shrink, animals gather around the few remaining waterholes, which makes this the most rewarding season for tiger sightings. April and May are very hot, with afternoons in the mid-40s °C.
- Best season for tiger sightings
- Thinner cover, clearer views
- Go early, carry water and sun protection

Monsoon July to September
Core zones rest for the rains
The core zones close every year for the monsoon while the forest recovers. The landscape turns lush green and quiet. Buffer zones may stay open depending on forest department rules, so ask us before planning a monsoon trip.
- Core zones closed
- Lush, quiet landscapes
